🎮 Halo: Reach Cheat Sheet

📌 General Tips

  • Stick with teammates – Lone wolves often get picked off. Coordinate to control power weapons and key map areas.

  • Use Armor Abilities wisely – Sprint, Jetpack, Armor Lock, and Active Camo each have specific advantages. Don’t waste them.

  • Headshots matter – Precision weapons (DMR, Magnum, Sniper) kill much faster with headshots.

  • Grenades are powerful – Frag grenades bounce, plasma grenades stick. Use them to flush enemies out of cover.

  • Know the maps – Memorize spawn points for weapons, vehicles, and health packs.

🔫 Best Weapons

  • DMR – Best all-around weapon for mid-to-long range. Perfect for headshots.

  • Needle Rifle – 3 shots to the head = kill. Great Covenant counterpart to the DMR.

  • Shotgun – Devastating up close, especially in narrow corridors.

  • Sniper Rifle – High skill weapon, game-changer in good hands.

  • Rocket Launcher – Best for vehicles and clustered enemies.

🛡️ Armor Abilities

  • Sprint – Close gaps quickly or escape fights. Essential for aggressive play.

  • Armor Lock – Temporary invulnerability. Great counter to vehicles and power weapons.

  • Jetpack – Reach high ground and flank enemies, but exposes you in the air.

  • Active Camo – Go invisible, but movement and shooting reveal you. Best for ambushes.

  • Drop Shield – Deployable bubble that heals and blocks bullets (but not grenades inside).

🚗 Vehicles

  • Warthog – Great with a driver + gunner combo. Weak if used solo.

  • Ghost – Fast and agile. Boost to run over enemies.

  • Banshee – Deadly aerial vehicle, but vulnerable to precision fire.

  • Scorpion – Heavy tank. Slow but almost unstoppable if not countered.

🎯 Multiplayer Modes

  • Slayer – Standard team deathmatch. Kills win the game.

  • Invasion – Objective-based mode (Elites vs. Spartans). Very team-oriented.

  • Big Team Battle – Large-scale warfare with vehicles and up to 16 players.

  • Firefight – PvE survival mode against waves of Covenant.

  • Grifball – A fun custom game: mix rugby, gravity hammers, and bombs.

⚡ Pro Tips

  • Bloom control – Don’t spam fire the DMR. Pace your shots for accuracy.

  • Grenade + Melee combo – Weaken shields with a grenade, finish with a melee.

  • Power position control – High ground wins fights. Learn jump spots and shortcuts.

  • Communicate – Call out enemy locations, power weapon spawns, and vehicle status.

  • Customize loadouts – Pick armor abilities and weapons that match your playstyle.

Halo Reach Elite - Halo Reach Rank

By Ryan Moyer

Halo Reach Elite is a popular videogame made by Bungie. It will be the last Halo game made by Bungie, and it is really going out with a bang to the tune of two hundred million dollars worth of first day sales.

One of the major changes made in Halo Reach Elite, which differs from previous Halo games, is the ranking system. In previous Halo games players earned and lost experience points when winning or losing a match, and those points determined their numeric level. In Reach, that system has been completely revamped and replaced. Experience points and the true skill level system now move to the invisible background, and instead we see our players earning credits that are based on individual performance throughout the match.

These credits pull double duty. Firstly, you can use them to purchase armor upgrades for your character in the Halo Reach Elite armory. Secondly, as you earn credits your character ranks up. After earning a set amount of credits your rank will increase, which will give you a nice new icon that is displayed next to your name to show off to the rest of the Halo community, as well as a new title such as Sergeant, Major, or Colonel. These credits are cumulative, meaning that even if you spend them on armor it does not negatively impact your ability to rank up.

Unlike the ranking system in previous Halo games, these credits and ranks only go up, not down. No matter how badly you play, your rank will never drop. This leaves the player with a sense of consistent progress that wasn't necessarily there in previous Halo games, and is just another example of the major improvements made in Halo Reach Elite.
If you would like further details on exactly how many ranks exist and exactly how many credits you need to attain each of them, check out our list of Halo Reach Ranks. We've also got the details on over Halo Reach Weapons for you as well.
